Dhruv Kazi, MD

Associate Professor

Dhruv Kazi, MD, is a cardiologist and health economist with an interest in cardiovascular health economics and its implications for health policy. My specific expertise lies in comparative effectiveness and cost-effectiveness research with a focus on identifying diagnostic and therapeutic strategies that work in real-world populations and represent societal value for money. My work spans the US health care system as well as low- and middle income countries. I am particularly interested in innovative strategies to stem the epidemic of cardiovascular disease in emerging economies, particularly the creative use of low-cost technologies.

Dr. Kazi is currently Associate Director of the Smith Center for Outcomes Research in Cardiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School.
